Our speaker is Dr. Ilaria Sani is a research associate at the University of Geneva. 

In her own words,

"I am intrigued by the human and animal capability of understanding and navigating extremely complex situations and by the devastating consequences that brain diseases bring. As a system and cognitive neuroscientist, I aim to understand how the brain takes on this challenge, study the behavior at its full capacity, and commit my investigations to ultimately improve wellbeing.

Over the course of my career, I have accumulated research experiences across 7 institutions in 5 different countries. I have explored multiple research fields including basic physiology, molecular biology, neurophysiology, phycology, big data analysis, and neuro-technology. Beyond my scientific training, I have volunteered in different bio-medical and socio-economical scenarios across 4 different countries (India, Mexico, Palestine, and Israel -twice-, and Albania) with a focus on activities promoting health and mental health.
