Ms. Shaymaa Omran has more than ten years of experience in business consulting. From July 2016-recent, she joined IIT Bombay as a doctoral student in the Humanities and Social Sciences department. From September 2014-recent, she joined Future University in Egypt as Assistant Lecturer of Economics. In August 2012, she finished her MSc in Economics, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. From December 2010-2014, she joined BLUE Consulting Company as a senior economic consultant and partner. She participated in several projects in consulting assignments under different projects funded by USAID, African Development Bank (AfDB), and the Royal Danish Embassy in Cairo. In November 2010 she worked as a freelance economic consultant in data collection and analysis under the CIDA-funded Pro-poor Value Chain Analysis (PPVCA) project. From 2006-2010, she joined Talal Abu Ghazaleh (TAG) Organization. She participated in several projects in consulting fields such as market research, feasibility studies, business plan, financial systems, and HR systems.
